Cumulus (zeppelin)

The Cumulus is a class of large freight zeppelin used for long-range exchange among the CIR and the broader network of anarchist societies that have both appeared over the world in the wake of the Crumbling and which they have fostered abroad, mostly in the Mediterranean region where they have the most reach. It's unusual tail-mounted swiveling propellers are used to improve low-speed handling and enable the Cumulus to turn more quickly.
Cumulus zeppelins aren't completely standarized: depending on the manufacturing syndicate or even the trade routes involved, it's not common for them to have modifications such as different engines or landing gear to operate in the more austere fields of the East or sub-Saharan Africa. This one in particular possesses swiveling engines to provide a true VTOL capacity without needing neutral buoyancy on takeoff, and a crane that eases access to the containers in the cargo hold. Both of these characteristics make it ideal for operations between major airports at the cost ofnot being as easy to handle in the austere airfields.

Owing to it's large size and capabilities, the construction of both the zeppelins themselves and their infrastructure is a major affair and the logistics syndicates have much sway as a result.
