Born in 1614, More was aboard the Mayflower on its historic voyage to Plymouth, Massachusetts. He survived the first winter and participated in the first Thanksgiving. He later married and went to sea, and died in his new hometown of Salem, surviving his first wife by twenty years, in 1692.
