doesnt work. whenever i make a boat they turn out really boring to drive anyway. it is based on "ILAN VOYAGER" a prototype vessel built in the 80s to show the superiority of trimarans. made record of time around UK in boat. further iteration won world record of engine powered circumnavigation of globe. i think its a pretty nifty looking design. mine is kind of ugly, but the ILAN voyager is much better looking imo
i think it would be a cool exploration vessel. large, fuel efficient, very comfortable as it is not a planing hull and chops through waves. the ILAN needed a 235 horsepower engine to go 28 kts(32 mph) which seems pretty impressive for a 70 foot boat, and you wouldnt be going half that speed most of the time, so youd be much more efficient.
