Tuna

The Tuna is the second mass-produced heavy fighter of the Neo-Hanseatic League. Originally made as a competitor to the Skate, the latter has mostly eclipsed the Tuna owing to it's versatility. Nevertheless, the Tuna is a very different beast compared to the Skate, which has allowed it to find it's niche. In particular, it's most popular in the largest cities along the Dutch and Belgian coast that serve as de facto capitals of the League. In these lands, Tunas are reasonably popular, as while they can't carry bombs, they can be used to escort Skates from other cities in their missions against Scandinavian targets. The Tuna's speed also makes it a great reconaissance aircraft. While it's not good at climbing to intercept air raids, the Tuna is a good option for maintaining patrols, as it can cruise on one engine for long periods of time.

From a technical and performance standpoint, the Tuna is faster than the Haddock fighter, and much more heavily armed: it has 4 15 mm VHMGs (this being a propietary caliber, not used much in the East where 14.5 mm is more readily available) and 2 23 mm autocannons; as well as 2 extra VHMGs in tail boom barbettes. However, even in spite of it's speed, it's climbing speed isn't particularly outstanding.
