N-33-D2 Berzerker

Credit to @ChiChiWerx for the insignias, and to @Sergio666 for the exhaust effect!

(Fictional) The final and most advanced variant of the N-33 Berzerker before finally being decommissioned from the US Navy in 1950. The D2 version did not see any aerial combat, as they only entered service just 1 month before the first atomic bombs fell on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They were tasked with escorting bombers to Japan, not including the carriers of Fat Man and Little Boy, and also dropped payloads of their own all over the city of Tokyo. Between the new and improved radial engine producing 2400 horsepower, and the upgraded cockpit, pilots often reported the aircraft to be one of the best they'd ever flew in.

In total, approximately 3,000 Berzerkers were created between all versions, with the C3 and C4 combined being the most produced at 1,800, the A only having 100, the B having 700, and the final variant- D- having 400 aircraft leave the factory. About 250 of all planes combined were lost due to either mechanical failure, or combat. Every Berzerker combined will have gained a total kill count of 4,000 aircraft of all kinds- whether German, Japanese, or Italian- and over 20 naval warships destroyed with bombs or torpedoes.

@arcticfox123 @donkski @Adamask I've just started a new project, and put up a cockpit design for a supermaneuverable stealth fighter. Made the design as simple as can be. May edit it when I make the big thing!

@donkski thanks for the suggestions, but I wanted the aircraft to look more distinct from the P-47, so no one confuses the 2. Then again, they do have similar fuselage shapes in the front. Your feedback is much appreciated!

clean plane flies well, just some things I would change would be the width of the elevators and tail and the length of the fuselage behind the cockpit, to give it that chunky, almost thunderbolt look
