J-8 II (NATO Code: finback) fighter is an improved J-8 high-altitude high-speed fighter developed by China Shenyang Aircraft Industry Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Shenfei).On June 12, 1984, the first flight of J-8 II prototype aircraft was successful. On March 18, 1988, the design of the aircraft was finalized.
