First Air, a Canadian airline that merged into Canadian North in 2019, was a major operator of the ATR 42 turboprop, using variants like the versatile ATR 42-300 and the improved ATR 42-500 for passenger and cargo (combi) services across Northern Canada, known for their ability to handle gravel and ice runways. First Air even ran Canada's largest ATR maintenance facility, making them experts in the type.
I still haven't built a full cockpit. I plan on adding it in my final iteration. This ATR has a full, accurate interior, which is the first of its kind on Simple Planes, built off the lessons I learned with C-FNVK a few weeks prior.

The picture I used to help model my interior was taken from one of First Air's ATRs after the merger.

Another airline I've flown, Air North ATR 42, in the maintenance hangar, now run by Canadian North (formerly First Air).

First Air has two iconic liveries: the modern, sleek, blank fuselage with the tail art, and the classic rainbow stripe livery. This is an example of First Air's more modern ATR 42s, and I have plans to ultimately release a version in a similar livery along with other major improvements.

First Air's rebranded ATR-42 sported identical liveries to Canadian North after the merger. First Air was allowed to operate aircraft with the words "First Air" along with the livery.

Canadian North switched mostly to the 600 model, although a few 300s (previously owned by First Air) still fly as part of the merger agreement. Canadian North is one of the primary and largest users of the ATR 42, boasting a fleet of 13, along with 2 ATR 72s.
