@Michiganstatepolicethe2nd Yep.

this is so cool
Sir how much wing loading do you wan-
Y E S
@Graingy I CAST WINGTIP STALL
To add on, yeah generally you wanna use nacaprop or flat bottom for high AOA aircraft, i didnt know this for 4.3 years...
@Graingy Gorilla remember things 😎👍
@TheLoadingGorilla I have, yes.
@Graingy Pretty sure you've shared that before, but yeah. I like Minecraft :)
@TheLoadingGorilla Yep.
Read the description.
@Graingy It's funny how weird the history behind indie games can be...
@TheLoadingGorilla Look at the game's version history and you'll understand. It's a hotwheels car that got gradually upgraded into a battleship.
Also, if I'm remembering right, the company that created it was originally an advertising firm before the game was started as a side project by an employee.
@Graingy Oh man. Not what I would expect from a 2015 sandbox game... If it is solely loaded on RAM like you guess then that is definitely... not good. Strange how they'd wire it like that, but I have no idea how video games are made so maybe there’s a reason as to why they did that (seems like there could've been a alternative though, but again, I don’t know).
@TheLoadingGorilla It is good, but there's this ever-present atmosphere of dissapointment.
Also the game runs terribly. Like, serious issues. Just flipping through craft files in the builders slows the game to a crawl (I can't remember if it was something I read or a guess entirely on my part, but I seem to remember something about the entire game being loaded into RAM? No idea, but trust me when I say that the game is a spaghetti code monster that grew way past it had logical right to). You have to restart the game to fix it.
Hmmmm...yes...
After some careful judgement I can confirm that this is indeed
AN PLANE
@Graingy Hmm. Never actually played KSP either, but I've heard it's good (unlike its sequel; again, according to what I've heard).
@TheLoadingGorilla Good. It's a waste of money,
There's definitely some old aspects of it left in SP (or, more accurately, SP's older versions), but it's just annoyingly difficult. Ironically, KSP (which is 3D) is far easier than SimpleRockets from my experience, in large part because KSP rockets actually, well, stay together sometimes. SimpleRockets rockets do not. At all. Ever.
It's part of Jundroo's history, and for that it has some value, but it should be left there unquestionably.
@Graingy Yep. I am excited.
Never actually played simplerockets, and I've seen very little about.
@TheLoadingGorilla That's why there's a sequel coming up, after all.
And Juno.
Though this game has aged FAR better than that pile of junk known as SimpleRockets. SimpleRockets is not a good game, full stop.
@Graingy Yeah, and games like this generally don’t age too well. It is noticeably outdated compared to... pretty much every other sandbox game made within the last few years.
@TheLoadingGorilla Yep. Over 11 years. Gradually coming up on 12.
@Graingy Hm. Cool. This game is old…
@TheLoadingGorilla Well, I want to say around 1.4 years ago, since the Archfiend was the first project in which I believe I intentionally used flat-bottom wings to avoid roll reversal.
I've been playing SimplePlanes (on and, admittedly by far mostly, off) for over nine years now.
@Graingy How many years?🤨🤨🤨
@TheLoadingGorilla It took me many years to learn that.
@Graingy Hm. Ok.
@TheLoadingGorilla Wingtip stalling. The AoA gets too high and the wings stall.
