MLX-424 Flying Wing

1,671 MarshallLewisAerospace  4.1 years ago

Flying Wing, made from modifying the wing center section of the ML-422 Pegasus

Controls: Standard Flying Controls
AG2 toggles spotlights on the leading edge of the wing.
AG4 arms thrust reversers. The landing gear brakes are plenty powerful, so they're not really needed, but are leftovers from some tinkering I've done with the Pegasus that this is pulled from.

So... This is a thing. This is literally the wing of the aforementioned ML-422 Pegasus flying boat, with a few tweaks. Very slippery on the yaw axis, which is honestly quite fun to fly with. The idea for this came because I am a horrible person who likes to crash flying boats in to mountains. The wing stayed in one piece a few times, and I liked how it looked. Not my best build ever, but it does look cool on its own, so I decided to upload. It also includes some "sneak peaks" of a sort of the thrust reversers I added to the Pegasus that I should probably upload as an updated version...
