About the aircraft:
McDonnell Douglas / Boeing F-18BRE Hornet IV
The F-18BRE Hornet IV is a fictional Brazilian Air Force multirole fighter, representing a deep nationalized evolution of the classic F/A-18 platform. Developed through a joint McDonnell Douglas / Boeing lineage and extensively adapted to Brazilian operational doctrine, the Hornet IV combines proven carrier-borne design with modern avionics, regional customization, and extended-range capability.
Designed to operate across Brazil’s vast and diverse territory—from the Amazon basin to open Atlantic airspace—the F-18BRE features upgraded sensors, enhanced electronic warfare systems, and a refined multirole weapons suite optimized for air superiority, strike, and maritime patrol missions. Structural reinforcements and localized systems integration allow it to operate from both conventional air bases and expeditionary runways.
This is my last post on the Simpleplanes community until the release of Simpleplanes 2, This is due to some complications I found while trying to post in SP1.
With that said, all I can do is thank everyone who supported me through here, it was a honor and joy to make part of this community, and I can't wait to join it again. That's all, thanks for everything.
