The Deperdussin 1912 racing monoplane was one of the early aircraft produced by Aeroplanes Deperdussin (which later became SPAD). It was notable for being the first aircraft to exceed 100mph
It used the then-new monocoque fuselage construction technique, doing away with a box-girder fuselage and instead using plywood formed over a frame to make a sturdy, solid fuselage. Power was provided by a two bank, 14 cylinder Gnome Lambda rotary engine, rated somewhere between 140-160hp. Some versions seem to have wings with increased chord at the tips (for more effective wing-warping), though this replica has parallel chord wings like the example at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome

@Sockdragger Thanks! I have mixed experiences with simulating wing warping. Honestly, I'd prefer to include it. But it does introduce difficulties with stuff like bracing wires and keeping everything looking okay when the wing warps. On my Hanriot replica for example the wires and struts on the wing move with it, but the control wires from the fuselage do not. I suppose for some aircraft it's easy enough to make just the outer half of the wing warp instead of just the whole thing. At any rate, if I figure out a satisfactory way to do it I'll probably remake a lot of my aircraft and fix other mistakes as well
Wonderful plane, especially for 96 parts. My only gripe so far is that it does not use actual wing rotation to simulate the wing warping.
