Allis-Chalmers. It isn't a very popular brand anymore. It stopped existing for a while. Both a real shame. A-C was a very innovative brand back in the day. Many features that are commonplace on tractors today were invented or perfected by Allis-Chalmers. For example, the pneumatic tractor tire. This is one of their weirder and less popular machines. Ladies and gentlemen, the Allis-Chalmers Model G.

The Model G is a small implement carrier tractor that was made by the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company. At the time of its introduction the Model G was unique for its rear-mounted, Continental N62 engine. It was a four-cylinder engine with a 2? × 3½ inch bore and stroke. The Model G was designed for small farms and vegetable gardeners, and had its own line of implements specifically designed for it, including ploughs, planters, and cultivators. The design of the Model G allowed for a great view of the belly-mounted implements. David Brown Ltd. in the UK introduced a very similar tractor in the mid-1950s called the 2D where the tubular frame acted as an air receiver for the compressed air implement lifting system. David Brown were also disappointed with the number of sales.

The Model G was manufactured solely in the factory in Gadsden, Alabama, from 1948 to 1955. They hoped to appeal to Southerners who refused to stop using horses and mules. 29,976 units were built, which is less than Allis-Chalmers had originally hoped for. The Model G had a 5 gallon fuel tank, weighed 1,285 pounds, and was rated at 10 drawbar horsepower (Tested at 10.33 belt and 9.04 drawbar). The engine had a displacement of 62 cubic inches and was rated at 1800 RPMs. The transmission was a non-synchronized three-speed with reverse.

To drive, press one and throttle up. Add ACT2 for second gear and ACT3 for third. The tractor is the most stable in first, although you will not want to go down hills with the engines on at all. Because of the VTOL cart, this tractor is amphibious and even floats a little. Pitch down while underwater to scoot forward slowly. Once you're in, you're stuck unless it's shallow. ACT4 lightens the tractor up a little and ACT6 breaks off the front axle for boat mode, which is pretty terrible. You can push the cart around, too. This is another nice tractor for exploring the island.

I used some downloaded wheels this time that are nice and round. I'm not sure about them, so I included a replacement. If you don't like the round ones, remove the round wheels by the rotator, put the square one on in that spot, and mirror the rotator.

Thank you for downloading!

I guess if you put them on the 4430, they should work for any of them.

@WalrusAircraft I would like to use these wheels more, but I'd have to see how they compare in size.

I modified my 4430 with the smoother wheels and it drove a lot better! Maybe make more tractors with these wheels!
