For the A-40 Challenge!

For segments 1 and 2, but mostly 2.
It seemed wrong not to enter, because I may or may not have inspired this challenge…

Borscht

History: The A-40 was originally designed to carry a tank, but the engineers in charge of the project had no idea how to build one. Their solution was to repurpose the A-40 to carry supplies to troops on the front line. This method is still used by several delivery services in Russia today, which is why most Russian civilians prefer to eat out and go to the post office themselves to find out their mail has been confiscated and deemed as a “threat to society”. Another reason for this is that 1 in 5 A-40s in service today contain escaped inmates from a Siberian gulag who have had nothing to eat except the borscht in the glider for days.

“This thing crashed through my roof at 1:00 A.M, just so an escaped inmate from a Siberian gulag could climb out and demand more borscht.” - Some random guy in Russia

“The A-40 is a lifesaver. It helped smuggle me out of the gulag so that I could crash through some random person’s roof at 1:00 A.M. and demand more borscht.” - An escaped inmate from a Siberian gulag
