Hinak (and all of its planes) are fictional. In 1923, the Hinak H.44 Hiker made its first flight, unfortunately, the plane was underpowered. In 1924, new Graneer G.618 1500 HP engines came out. The plane entered commercial service with Imperial airways on June 7th 1925, later that year it entered service with KLM, and in 1927 entered service with Pan-am. A total of 57 of these planes were built and were very luxorius. they seated 10 passengers 4 of which were in the smoking room. The H.44 had a range of 1,142 miles, allowing it to make cross-europe travel. in 1949 the very last H.44 Hiker (one of KLM's 29) bowed out of service for good.
