About the aircraft
Yak-42 is a short-and medium-range transport aircraft developed by the former Soviet Yakovlev Design Bureau in the 1970s on the basis of the experience of Yak-40. It is mainly used for short-and medium-range routes extending north and south of the Siberian trunk line. It is designed in accordance with Part 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations of the United States to facilitate access to the international market.
