SPW-1
Schützenpanzerwagen-1 (SPW-1) was developed in response to the shifting dynamics of modern warfare where rapid mobility became essential for operational success. Jerry's armored forces had long emphasized speed in their tank designs, but their infantry units still relied on traditional halftracks, which, while capable traversing rough terrain, lacked speed and protection for direct engagement in fast paced battles. Recognizing this limitation, Adult Himler commissioned the development of new armored vehicle that combine high mobility, battlefield survivability, and capacity to transport infantry quickly and safely.
The result was SPW-1, a fully wheeled armored personnel carrier designed with versatility at its core. SPW-1 was produced in several variants to meet diverse battlefield roles: A Variant served as standard troop transport, B Variant incorporated turret for direct fire support, C Variant equipped with anti aircraft weaponry for close range air defense, and D Variant functioned as mobile radar platform for battlefield surveillance and coordination.
Powering SPW-1 was DKM-47 engine, a fuel efficient and field serviceable diesel engine engineered for both reliability and high performance under combat conditions. This engine enabled SPW-1 to achieve speeds exceeding 100 kph, giving infantry units unprecedented mobility. SPW-1 is equipped with Geländereifen Type-K, a off-road optimized tires, specifically designed to maintain traction and stability across all terrains, including mud, snow, sand, rocky ground, urban streets and more. SPW-1 also has amphibious capabilities, floating in river and sea, crossing every river without bridge and can be used in amphibious assaults on enemy shores.
SPW-1 utilized a high performance suspension system known as Hochleistungs Fahrwerksystem (HFS-6) combined with Achtfach-Antrieb (8x8) Geländetriebwerk, which allowed it to maximize power distribution to all wheels. This ensured high speed traversal over difficult terrain while maintaining vehicle stability and crew comfort. Protection was provided by a sloped armor design that not only enhanced ballistic resistance but also contributed to the vehicle’s low silhouette and aerodynamic efficiency.
A key feature of the SPW-1 was its large, rapidly operable hatch system that enabled troops to quickly embark or disembark, making the vehicle highly effective for fast assaults, emergency evacuations, or rapid defensive deployments when encircled. The SPW-1 providing infantry with speed, protection, and flexibility required to operate alongside armored spearheads in a rapidly changing battlefield environment.
B Variant
SPW-1 B Variant was developed to fulfill a defensive support role within mechanized infantry formations, specifically build to secure occupied urban zones and protect vulnerable ground convoys. Unlike standard A Variant, B Variant sacrifices about half of its troop transport capacity to accommodate turret system. This turret is armed with dual Schnellfeuerkanonen 50mm, high rate of fire 50mm autocannons designed for suppressive engagement against infantry formations, unarmored vehicles, and hostile positions. The rapid firing capability allows for sustained defensive barrages, making the vehicle effective in denying enemy movement and delivering intimidating firepower in unpredictable conflict environments.
Mounted above the main turret are two Rückstoßraketen (RSR-2), unguided high explosive rockets intended as a last-resort defensive measure. While lacking precision, their substantial blast radius offers a critical means of deterring or disrupting armored threats or allowing the vehicle to escape from encirclement. Due to their limited quantity and reload complexity, these rockets are reserved strictly for emergency use, in alignment with the vehicle’s defensive doctrine.
B Variant was not conceived for frontline tank engagements but rather to assume protective duties that would otherwise inefficiently consume main battle tank resources. As such, it plays a key role in convoy escort missions, checkpoint security, and urban pacification. Its onboard firepower, coupled with the mobility and armor of the base SPW-1 platform, makes it especially suitable for counterinsurgency operations and area control in tense civilian occupied regions.

Ah yes, average German Vehicle name... Always give me a migraine...
I need to step it up, the GAMBT-Y950M1 is not done yet, and I need a new APC to replace the AAPC-MK1, and I need my first IFV too
very cool, i like this style hull
APC or light tank name for a future build.
