The VAC-001 was the first plane from the VDB. Having 2 propeller engines, the VDB realized that propellers had fallen out of use by the Cold War, so Vacula kept the aircraft as a stunt plane. It was slightly larger than other airshow planes of its time, but it could fly like a normal biplane. VAC-001 aircraft are still used today, and have become a popular stunt aircraft.
