WATCH TRAILER HERE

(Fictive)

The FA-20 "Resistor" is a joint effort between multiple western countries to supply Ukraine with a state-of-the-art, yet relatively cheap 4.5th gen fighter-attacker aircraft.

It's design is similar to Russian aircraft, to help with familiarity for Ukrainian pilots, who are used to flying Russian aircraft.

However, the weapon systems are made by BAE Systems and include the latest radar tech, cockpit touch displays and weapon systems such as the GBU-12 guided bombs and "Storm Shadow" GPS long range cruise missiles.
It also comes equipped with AIM-120D long range air-to-air missiles which can be locked on to enemy aircraft 180 degrees around the front of the aircraft.
As the icing on the cake, the aircraft also has a GAU-22/A 25mm Gatling cannon. The same as you can find in the F-35.

The airframe was designed by Boeing and the flight systems by BAE systems and Lockheed Martin.

The engines are "Brand new" Pratt and Whitney F33's, which are almost direct copies of the Klimov RD-33K engines which can be found in the Mig-29.
This was done so that the Ukrainian Air Force can re-use a lot of parts which they have already in stock, to maintain the engines.

It utilizes a two-seat side-by-side configuration in the cockpit, for one pilot and one navigator/weapon officer.

The aircraft even is ready to be used on air carriers, should this ever be necesarry. In any case, the wings can be folded to save space on airbases and the tailhook during emergency landings.

You can operate everything from the cockpit, which is VR ready and tested.
Every function that this aircraft has, has either a button, switch or lever to operate it.

Ejection seats

New in version 2.0:
- Ejection seats
- Supersonic simulation
- Better flight profile (which makes it a much better dogfighter)

The aircraft comes equipped with:
- 2 GBU-12 (AG)
- 2 Storm Shadow (AG)
- 2 AIM-120D (AA)
- 1 25mm GAU-22/A cannon (AA and AG)

Activate 1: Ejection seats
Activate 2: Toggle wing fold
Activate 3: Toggle refuel probe
Activate 4: Toggle canopy
Activate 5: Toggle tailhook
Activate 6: Toggle formation lights
Activate 7: Toggle landing lights
Activate 8: Toggle external lights

Flaps and trim automatically deploy gradually from 245mph ground speed and are fully deployed at 180mph.

The rear elevators are not used during normal flight due to instability issues. They are active under 25ft ground altitude to assist during take-off and landing.

Landing speed is around 135mph ground speed, take-off speed around 175mph.

The internal weapon bay doors open and close automatically when deploying a weapon.

A set of engines kick in around 650mph GS and 780mph, to simulate breaking the sound barrier.

DO NOT USE THE BOOM-50's AS WEAPONS.
They are part of the GBU-12's and unfortunately I have no clue how to hide these from the weapon options...

Hope you enjoy!

This is a gorgeous aircraft, but I wish it didn't nose down so hard. Any chance the trim could be adjusted, or just allow manual trim control?
