Type 2 U-Boat is a submarine produced in 1948s to replace the old Type 1 U-boat in No-see Jerry navy's silent service.
After nearly a decade of service in No-see Jerry’s famed Silent Service, the Type 1 U-Boat, once a symbol of innovation is now showing its age. In 1947, preparations began for its retirement and with it came the birth of its successor: Type 2 U-Boat.
To design this new vessel, No-see Jerry assembled its finest minds, gathering brilliant scientists and engineers from across the nation. Under the direct guidance of Adult Himler, the vision was clear, this new submarine would not merely continue the legacy of its predecessor, but redefine naval warfare entirely.
Adult Himler’s strategic requests set the tone for the design: A cruising range comparable to ocean-going cruisers, extended submerged endurance, high underwater speed to chase or evade targets with ease
ENGINEERING BREAKTHROUGH
With a decade of combat experience and technical knowledge from the Type 1, No-see Jerry’s scientists delivered:
Simplicity and Efficiency: Modular construction, low maintenance, and cost-effective built for wartime scalability and reliability.
Jerry Camouflage Coating: Black hull paint, consistent with No-see Jerry’s general black deck camo.
Nuclear Propulsion: Granting virtually unlimited range, allowing the Type 2 to patrol distant waters without refueling, this make Type 2 the second submarine that use Nuclear Propulsion after Rep. Spin's submarine.
Enlarged Hull: Increased internal volume for greater food storage and crew comfort during long missions.
Aerodynamic Shape: Minimal external features to reduce drag and maximize submerged speed.
Dual Silent Propellers: Large, quiet twin screws enable rapid, stealthy underwater travel.
Extended Snorkel System: Prolongs submerged operations while conserving reactor power.
No Surface Weaponry: Designed for full submersion warfare, deck guns and anti-air weapons are removed.
Autoloader Torpedo System: Speeds up rearmament and reduces required crew.
Newest Sonar and Disruption Suite: Incorporates the latest in sonar tech and counter detection systems.
Experimental Homing Torpedoes: Equipped with acoustic seekers to track and eliminate other submarines.
Type 2 was successfully built 100 units at the end of 1948 on the same day as the Type 1 was retired. This ship makes a new motto in silent service: “Don’t Mind the Rust Above. (Criticizing Jerry's weak surface ships) Fear What’s Below. Remember, The Real Killers Never Show Themselves.”

I color this submarine black, consistent with No-see Jerry’s general black deck camo. I also make it round and sleek to meet the specification's requirement: Less drag, more room for storage. There is no modern anti sonar coating here.
