DRJ-1-30 Interliner
History
The DRJ-1-30 is a variant of the DRJ-1 family series, it is the longest variant that has been built and is one of the most popular regional aircraft to be operated by many airlines by each country.
The DRJ-1-30 first originated in Japan, when the requirements for a twinjet regional airliner with 140 seats with efficent engines and a good fuel capacity were made. Denalov Industries responded by extending the DRJ-1-30 and equipping the engines with modern bucket reverse thrust, it was a competitor to the DC-9, MD-80, and the MD-80, even the Boeing 737 and A320 in the later years.
In total, there were 27 operators, famous examples are Japan Airlines, ANA, Thai, etc.
Many DRJ-10-30 aircraft are still flying, under a new variant called DRJ-1-30EF. (Extended Efficency), it involved having different engines and replaced the aging bucket reverse thrust engine.
