The Firefly was the other main Fortian bomber during the Conquest of the Seaboard. Designed for daytime operations, this aircraft was designed for speed, albeit at the cost of the greater payload of other twin-engined aircraft. The Firefly is also the first all-Fortian warplane to have been designed. It's name (a pun on the fact that Fortian doctrine put emphasis on incendiary weapons at the time) fully set the arthropod theme of all Fortian aircraft.

Developed concurrently with the Moth, the Firefly was the first Fortian bomber designed post-Exodus that entered service. This plane first saw service in the Conquest of Georgia, where the God's Marines' aircraft couldn't cope with the type's speed.
After this, Fireflies went on to have a successful career against the city-states of the Eastern Seaboard, where it was sometimes even pressed into acting as a heavy fighter with a quad gun pod replacing the gunner.
