Microcar Challenge

Microcars! Who doesn't like a cute goofy teeny tiny microcar? Well today it's time for you to build one since, again, i sadly haven't found many around here :(

-What is a Microcar?

Well, the name says it all, it's a "MICRO" "CAR" but these vehicles exist in very different flavours around the world, in Europe they're considered "Quadricycles" in Japan there's "kei-cars" in the US you can find tricycles and NEVS. It's not easy to pin-point a single definition but here's a rough example from wikipedia:

Microcar is a term often used for the smallest size of cars, with three or four wheels and often an engine smaller than 700 cc (43 cu in). Specific types of microcars include bubble cars, cycle cars, invacar, quadricycles and voiturettes. Microcars are often covered by separate regulations to normal cars, having relaxed requirements for registration and licensing.

also here's a link for the "car classification" page on wikipedia if you want to know more about the differences with regular cars: linky

-The Almighty rules

1) The car needs to be at most 3 meters long and 1.5 meters wide since that's the size for most microcars, but since Kei-Cars fit in the category and modern ones surpass this limit you can go up to 3.4 while loosing some "rule accuracy" points. (P.S. RC cars aren't allowed )
2) Unless you're making a bonkers racing contraption the top speed should be within a 100-150 km/h range
3) The minimum part limit is 20 and the maximum is, pretty much the ammount of parts you need (since we're doing microcars i hope i'm not going to see a PC crashing abomination)
4) Only successors are allowed to join so download this and use the cockpit part on your own creation, if you don't i most likely won't see your build.
5) STEALING IS SEVERELY PROHIBITED (and will be punished severely) so be original, don't just modify somebody else's build
6) only 1 entry per player .... that's it...
7) both Fictionals and Replicas are allowed
8) the description must have a "Lore"/"Description" section where you describe the history of the model wether the car being fictional or a replica.
In other words, Give me that juicy lore!
9) NO MODS are allowed in the contruction of the car outside of XML and Fine-Tuner, but you can test the car on any mod map you want

As long as the car fits these rules you can post anything so you're 100% allowed to get crazy with your creations.

-The Judgment Criteria

The cars will get a 0-100 score based on 5 different criterias for which you can score a maximum of 20 points each:

1) Looks: with this i don't really mean "does it look good?" i actually mean "does it have a distinct look?", the Microcar world is cool because it's full to the brim with unique designs that achieve very different things so my advice is to stick to a cool idea and try running with it to the extreme.
Basically if your design is uniquely good or bad it will get a high score as long as it's high quality and not just a fuselage part with wheels
2) Ride quality: This is pretty self explainatory, the car should be enjoyable to drive and not just a brick on wheels that rolls over every 5 seconds. But for microcars a crappy ride sometimes is part of the fun so you don't really need to make it extremely polished to get a good score
3) Realism: I've stated that you can make the craziest sorts of vehicles, BUT if you manage to make them also feel realistic enough you will get a higher score.
4) Lore/Description Quality: Do you know what's the difference between a Challenge entry and a Super Challenge entry? PRESENTATION!
5) Rule Accuracy points: This is just a "Boost" section for builds that respected the rules particularly well so they can get a full score.

-The juicy prizes

Alright here's the part you've all been waiting for.....The prizes!

1°place= 35 upvotes
2° place= 25 upvotes
3° place= 15 upvotes

Everybody will get 2 upvotes and a spotlight (when possible) once i test your build

-Deadline= June 1st 2024

hope you'll have fun, let's get building!
Oh and just one more thing, in case anyone needs this...

@Nyamomin yes it does include side mirros since i'm using the site's measurements to count which builds count or not.
But if the width Is like 1.6/1.7m with side mirros i can make and exception.

@BYardley i managed to find some information about the size and it unfortunately doesn't count. It's a 4 meters long and 1.8 meters wide car so it's more of a B segment Subcompact than a Microcar.

Well I'm just asking, does this count? I know it has more power than a regular micro car but I'm not sure if it counts or not because I couldn't find enough informations about it anywhere

@SBACERT your build should have at least 20 parts to be accepted in the challenge. Any lower Is certain disqualification

@airlinerbuilder may i ask?, the rules says 20 parts is the minimum and the maximum that's mean the parts should be 20? Or can be lower?
