The Chaffinch is a Light Attack STOL optimised for light CAS and COIN duties where full lenght and paved runways are not available.

She can hang around a battlefield for extended lenghts of time at very low speeds thanks to her efficient engines and TiltWing STOL system. This is the b varient, which upgraded the Chaffinch with a thermal imager, a 30mm cannon and compatibility with Viper TV guided missiles and improved countermeasure pods.

I made the basis for this ages ago for a contest but wasn't entirely happy with the way it looked or the way it flew or the weapons systems I chose for it, so I have put in a concerted effort to make it much more realistic, much prettier and much more fun to fly.
