F/A-50C Silent Spider

105 PilotOfTheBoss  3.8 years ago

Ah, my Magnum Opus is here. I’m just so proud of this, you have no idea. To celebrate, I named it for my favorite number and animal. It was originally meant to be an improved F/A-28E but I encountered some troubles attempting to do so. Anywayyy, this fictional craft served in the future US Navy alongside its advanced F/A-28 jets. Not quite as stealthy, but much more maneuverable, these carrier-based 5++ generation Silent Spiders take their Strike Fighter role to a new level. Controls: AG1 + VTOL for missile bay doors (extremely small space but it’s a first attempt, it’s empty but you can probably find a way). AG2 for arrestor hook. AG3 for parachute. AG4 + VTOL for adjustable folding wings. AG5 + VTOL for refuel nozzle. AG8 for lights. Trim for trim. Armed with a regular minigun. Recommended wing instructions: AG4 + VTOL halfway up for a wing angle that I prefer, VTOL down for folding up wings. Stuff I improved on: better engine nozzles, my first opening missile bay, my first retractable refuel nozzle, better lights, better intake design, better fuselage.
