The T2M is a total overhaul of the T2 the southern warlords used in the opening months of 1953. It has a redesigned turret and an improved 76mm gun. The new tank performed better than the T2 overall, a part of the reason being that it was assigned a designated role instead of being sent to shoot anything that moved. The T2M was to take out light vehicles, leaving tanks for the bigger guns present. Even when it did have to fight other tanks, the T2M proved adequate and reliable.
