A-143 Buzzard - AAF Attack Jet

A fast, low-altitude close air support jet armed with varying ground-attack munitions, the A-143 Buzzard is a feared opponent to any NATO or CSAT ground vehicle.

ArmA 3 Description

"The A-143 Buzzard is a single seat light multi-purpose combat aircraft able to carry a wide range of equipment and weaponry. A-143 Buzzard has seven weapon hardpoints, three under each wing and one under the fuselage. Close air support armament consists of 20 mm twin cannon, two Skalpel air-to-ground missiles, two laser guided GBU-12 bombs and two short range air-to-air missiles. Anti-air variant of Buzzard is fitted with 20 mm twin cannon, two short range air-to-air missiles and four long range air-to-air Zephyr missiles."

Roles include close air support, air superiority, convoy elimination.

Gameplay Aspects

This version of ArmA 3's A-143 is, like other vehicles I have been making, not exactly the same as the original. Things that are hard to measure or find are arbitrarily set, so measures like fuel, speed, weight and coutermeasures do not mirror the game, and are instead set to be more... fun.

This is actually the first aircraft I have ever done an interior/cockpit with. I am somewhat proud of my work although it does not match the ArmA 3 version whatsoever, so sorry about that. If anyone is actually good at making cockpits though you are completely welcome to change it to match.

The vehicle is pretty simple, so any user can find it with more than 5fps.

Controls

There are pretty simple controls. This aircraft has standard controls, and an added trim function. The aircraft is somewhat usable in VR, being that it has buttons and controls for all basic functions. Activation groups are AG4, which activates all lights, and AG5, which ejects the pilot using some very rudimentary FT.

The Buzzard is well armed and armored, with it being able to fly low and fast. The design in ArmA 3 has this small and light jet be able to strike targets without being detected from afar due to its small frame. Even though SP does not simulate thermals or radar cross-section, this aircraft is still difficult to hit with ground fire and has plenty of countermeasures.

The next vehicle coming out in this series is likely going to be the Rhino MGS or IFV-6c Panther, with its variants, the IFV-6a Cheeta and the CRV-6e Bobcat. I am also working on the AH-9 Pawnee, Mk. 49 Spartan, WY-55 Hellcat, and CH-67 Huron.

Thanks for all of your support on the KH-3A Fenghuang. :D
