Description
APC-42M2 is an armored personnel carrier used to transport personnel to operational areas, conduct patrols, reconnaissance, and surveillance in specific areas. This APC is equipped with armaments, including a machine gun and an automatic grenade launcher, to provide both support and adequate protection for the personnel inside, as well as to protect infantry forces advancing towards the front lines.

The specifications for this APC are diverse. The vehicle has a carrying capacity of 13 personnel, including 2 crew members: 1 driver, 1 gunner, and 11 infantry personnel. The vehicle is powered by a high-performance engine, capable of traveling up to one hundred kilometers and reaching speeds of 97 km/h on asphalt and 95 km/h on off-road terrain. As previously mentioned, the vehicle is equipped with a 12.7mm machine gun (50BMG/12.7DShK, adjustable based on conditions) and a 42mm grenade launcher with a muzzle velocity of +300m/s.

APC-42M2, why M2? because, it's using the 2nd model of chassis itself, developed at early 1952, modernization from 1st model to the 2nd with changing a few parts such material, that affects the weight of the vehicle.
