SHADOW HEAVY INDUSTRY, PRESENTS:

Background

The PC-109 Lealion is an armored personnel carrier (APC) operated by the Neorasia People’s Army and the Neorasia People’s Marines. Development of the vehicle began prior to the Fourth Neorasia Civil War, specifically in 2018, during the period of heightened tensions commonly referred to as the Cold War between the Neorasia government and the Shadow Company.

Design and Capabilities

The PC-109 Lealion was designed as a modular and amphibious troop transport, capable of supporting both ground invasions and amphibious landings from naval vessels. Its construction allows for relatively easy disassembly and reconfiguration, a feature that was frequently exploited by vehicle crews to implement field modifications during wartime.

Due to this modular design, several PC-109 units were modified to mount heavier weapon systems, including turrets from the ZBT-10 Viper, ZBT-10FV Alpaca, and H-16 Tiger platforms. Other field-modified variants were observed carrying mortars or light artillery systems.

Armament

In its standard configuration, the PC-109 Lealion is armed with a Type-15C 15 mm automatic cannon, intended primarily for infantry fire support and self-defense.

Operational History

The PC-109 entered widespread service during the Fourth Neorasia Civil War, where it served as the primary armored troop carrier for both conventional ground operations and amphibious assaults. The vehicle’s adaptability made it one of the most commonly encountered APCs throughout the conflict.

Post-war Service and Disposition

Following the end of the Fourth Neorasia Civil War, production of the PC-109 Lealion was discontinued. Total production during the war is estimated at approximately 75,000 units, of which 1,293 vehicles are reported to have survived the conflict.

A number of PC-109 units were offered to the Kingdom of Stjerneland as part of Neorasia’s inherited debt repayments; however, the offer was declined, with Stjerneland instead selecting the M75 Rinnai APC. Approximately 1,000 PC-109 units were subsequently exported to allied states of the Mizuhara Federation, while the remaining vehicles were either decommissioned, scrapped, or placed in military museums.
