About Pan-Am:
Pan American World Airways, originally founded as Pan American Airways and more commonly known as Pan Am, was an airline that was the principal and largest international air carrier and unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States for much of the 20th century. The first airline to fly worldwide, it pioneered innovations such as jumbo jets and computerized reservation systems, and introduced the first American jetliner in 1958. Until its dissolution on December 4, 1991, Pan Am "epitomized the luxury and glamour of intercontinental travel", and it remains a cultural icon of the 20th century, identified by its blue globe logo ("The Blue Meatball"), the use of the word "Clipper" in its aircraft names and call signs, and the white uniform caps of its pilots.

About the Boeing 757:
The Boeing 757 is an American narrow-body airliner designed and built by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. The then-named 7N7, a twinjet successor for the trijet 727, received its first orders in August 1978. The prototype completed its maiden flight on February 19, 1982, and it was FAA certified on December 21, 1982. Eastern Air Lines placed the initial 757-200 variant in commercial service on January 1, 1983. A package freighter (PF) variant entered service in September 1987 and a combi model in September 1988. The stretched 757-300 was launched in September 1996 and began service in March 1999. After 1,050 had been built for 54 customers, production ended in October 2004, while Boeing offered the largest 737 NG variants as a successor to the -200.

About TF-FIC:
TF-FIC is one of 11 Boeing 757-200 to currently be in service with Icelandair. Now this aircraft is a little bit special, because it has been painted into several special liveries - including that of the former airline Pan Am. The aircraft has been painted in this livery to celebrate Pan Am’s existence, and to…bring back the “good old days”? It, however, is going to cost you a LOT to go fly on this 757 (a rough $60,000 price tag). The aircraft was named “Yankee Clipper II” as a homage to the first “Yankee Clipper”, which began the first scheduled airmail service between the United States and Europe.
This specific aircraft is 25.0 years old, had its first flight on 7/6/2000, and was tested at Renton Municipal Airport (RNT/KRNT), with the MSN of 30735, and the line number 931.
