About EP-AOA
The aircraft, which was built with serial number 29107 and made its first flight on 02/05/1998, was delivered to the Turkish low-cost airline Pegasus on 03/27/1998 with the registration TC-APD. Source: Aircraft Blog
It was leased to Pakistan's Shaheen Air for three months later that year and then to Oman Air for less than two months. It was also leased to Algeria's Khalifa Airways from 07/14/1999 to 04/29/2003. It was leased to Turkey's Atlasjet for about three months from 25/11/2004 and then operated for Pegasus from February 2005 to September 2006.
It was leased to Air Algérie from 09/18/2006 to 04/27/2007 and returned to Pegasus.
In 2012, Pegasus acquired a 49% stake in Air Manas, and in March 2013, the Kyrgyz airline began operating flights under the name Pegasus Asia to destinations in India, Russia, Turkey, and China. In December 2013, the aircraft was transferred to the new company with the registration number EX-37402 and was flying on the Bishkek-Osh route and vice versa until 2020/02/01.
When Air One [established in 1396 and affiliated with the Farhangian Reserve Fund] began its efforts to purchase the aircraft, it first departed from Bishkek for Minsk in Belarus on 2020/02/06 and finally arrived at Imam Khomeini Airport from Minsk on the evening of 2020/04/02 [corresponding to 14 Farvardin 1399].
To avoid the repercussions of international sanctions against our country, the aircraft was transferred to Konarak Airport on April 19, and after receiving the Iranian EP-AOA registration, it was transferred back to Tehran on June 12, 2020 and entered the Meraj Company hangar for inspection. The aircraft has 168 economy seats and was leased to Sepehran Airlines from July 19 of that year to April 16, 2022.
The aircraft then entered the company's fleet after undergoing inspection and receiving the Air One livery, but due to the lack of an engine and parts, it was grounded at Mehrabad Airport until it began flying for the company after about three years on February 16, 2024.
