This is a replica of the WW2 attack aircraft Typhoon MK 1a variant. Historicaly, this aircraft was put into production in responce to the unveiling of the Fw 190. It was to intercept the Fw's at high speeds at low altitudes when they were landing. Because of it's job it was granted the role of low altitude interceptor.
