The Walrus is the largest and most venerable of the Neo-Hansa's flying boats in active service. A rather archaic, but reliable design capable of lifting great weights, this peculiar flying boat descends from the first large flying boats made by the neo-Hansa.
Just as in the Seal, the choice to use a separate fuselage on the wing serves the purpose of keeping the tail away from water spray. However, in this case it's even more useful: not only does it also contain the fuel tanks, but an unimpeded sight for an astrodome for long voyages.
Walruses are most used in long-range trips as far down as the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, as well as over the North Pole thanks both to the milder conditions brought about by global warming and the aircraft's own robust construction.
