GAZ M38 is a heavy tractor for towing large-caliber guns or heavy trailers in deep snow or muddy conditions. Initially, it was developed as a timber truck for work in Siberia and the northern regions of the USSR. The initial modification - Timber carrier, was called GAZ M-37L. (Yes, I was inspired by the Canadian Pacific P16, as well as the Soviet GAZ-AAA truck)
