During 1969 Italy Air Force requested aircraft that need ground-attack and air-supremecy capabled to replace thier F-104 that have poor turn-fighting capability. In 1970 Italy need aircaft enginneers to design competition One of the engineer Hungarian Enginneer Nagy István(fictitious name) who defected from Hungarian communist regime won the competition to his delta-canard aircaft concept. In 1971-1975 Italy government gave budget to design and test. In 1977 first aircaft produced. In 1978 Aircaft introducted to Italy Air force.
