183mm Self-Propelled Howitzer. Berfungsi sebagai siege artillery yang berfokus untuk menghancurkan pertahanan musuh, benteng musuh, kota, bunker dan lainnya. SM-183 yang hanya menggunakan tiga tipe peluru yaitu SAPHECBC, HE dan Anti-Concrete. Penggunaan sasis tank sebagai basis untuk artillery ini adalah karena praktikalnya dan ketersediaan sasis dipabrik dan kemudahaan faktor logistik, serta ada beberapa hal diluar teknis seperti kenyamanan penggunaan, filosofi, ketergantungan, kenyamanan dan lainnya.
