Water landings do work, but you must be going slow or have a parachute deployed. WARNING! WHEN IN THE WATER, DO NOT USE MORE THAN 55% OF THE THROTTLE WHILE TURNING AT A HIGH ANGLE OR A CRASH IS EXTREMELY LIKELY. If the emergency parachutes are deployed, make sure you press B to disable the engines or the plane will flip and crash.
