The BK-2 A1S was a special variant of the BK-21 in 1966, with thickened armor and additional aprons on the basis of the original BK-21NO * 4. It was equipped with a 100 mm tank gun for attacking armoured vehicles, a coaxial machine gun, and a larger warhead than the BK-2 NO * 4, which reduced the crew from eight to six.
