The Garfish is a light bomber of neo-Hanseatic origin. It's original role was to be a torpedo bomber to deter the USS from encroaching upon neo-Hanseatic trade routes in the North Sea, as both factions are historic rivals, though the last actual violent conflict they had was caused by Walrus flying boats crossing the Atlantic in violation of the USS monopoly on trans-oceanic trade.
Since it's inception, it has been adapted to various other roles: not only is it also used as a light bomber by Baltic cities, but it's even used as a mailplane along the League, where this is often the largest landplane that can be accomodated. As a reliable an adaptable design, it's even been exported, often with the customers swapping out the typical neo-Hanseatic engines for their own.
The plane is depicted here in two configurations: As a torpedo bomber, where the aircraft was designed around carrying secondary torpedoes near the centreline to drop after the main one to both serve as decoys and increase the chances of hits, producing the iconic outwards-retracting landing gear; and as a light bomber carrying two rocket pods in the outermost hardpoints and bombs in the rest. The undercarriage design, while great for both bombs and torpedoes thanks to minimizing the effects on both accuracy and handling of an asymmetrical load, does come with the drawback of limiting rockets and gun pods to only the two outer pods.
In both cases, however, the Garfish is shown equipped with 6 7.62 mm machine guns and 2 14.5 mm VHMGs.
