"It's the best of both worlds"

Every since humanity made its home among the stars, railguns have been the weapon of choice of almost every capital ship. Since then space warfare has become an ever-changing field. Plasma weapons have then been researched and perfected by humanity's brightest minds, only to be countered by the invention of the flux shield, a unique defense system that absorbs and relays energy from incoming projectiles to its parent ship's subsystems. Point defense systems have almost been rendered useless too, as pirate factions have developed a new missile delivery system that involves warping a warhead directly to the target. Amongst all these new technologies was the plasma boltgun, a new weapon that combines the armor-piercing capability and accuracy of a railgun, and the blast damage and firerate of a plasma cannon.

The G-FT-313 "Karkinos" is a new plasma boltgun built by Gaurhald Defense Systems for use by the Continuum Navy on their new fleet of warships. The Karkinos features a G-type internal firing system, giving it a much higher firerate at the expense of penetrating power and increased power consumption. For this reason the Karkinos was mounted on ships that were designed for close-quarters combat such as the Cerberus-Class destroyers and Diablo-Class battlecruisers.

Instructions

• AG1 to activate turret. VTOL to rotate. FireGuns to.... fire (of course).
• To use as sub-assembly, remove the cockpit (white) at the turret base. Sub-assembly connection point is the turret base itself.
