In choosing a replacement for the Humvee, the Army had initially intended to outsource the procurement to NUE based companies, specifically looking at the AHMMWV as the replacement for both army and marine vehicles. With Empress Bitusan’s succession, Winolian foreign policy suddenly changed which placed the Army in a compromised position as they were now required to source as many locally produced systems as they could and develop any they lacked. Seeing no way out, the general in charge of the program came together with a conglomerate of automotive manufacturers, headed by Bishoftu, to design a comparable vehicle to be configured for a number of roles with ease while maintaining a low-cost design. They AIMV or Aim Five was the result.

The AIM-V (Advanced Infantry Mobility vehicle) is a 4 wheel drive tactical utility vehicle described in army manuals as a level four logistical asset and a level three combat asset able to be fitted for a variety of roles including anti-mine duties, anti-drone support and anti-tank cover as well as other infantry support roles such as fire support. It builds upon a number of required features such as a sloped hull and thick under armour as well as adaptive suspension to give improved stability offroad. The vehicle is fitted with GPS navigation as standard and can be connected to the JCM system (a part of the Taktix system) to provide near-real time combat data to squads. What makes it so useful is how easy it is to refit, even if complex electronics are involved, because of the modular upper cab design which allows sub-systems to be easily installed in the hull. The armour is a composite ceramic-plastic-carbon armour backed by steel plate with an interlayer of woven kevlar and cotton to provide it protection from grenades, RPG’s and up to 12.7 mm armour piercing fire and a degree of protection against small tandem warheads. It is also fitted against CBRN warfare with microfilters displaced throughout the body.of the vehicle. A couple of her variants are shown below:

Not much to say here. This is a nice, cool down build to prepare for my next design.
