F-82G Twin Mustang

37.1k Typhoon03  4.7 years ago

This is the F-82 Twin Mustang. It served as an interim night fighter with the USAF during the 1950s, replacing the Black Widow. It carried the same radar and was armed with 6 .50 Browning machine guns. The F-82 was developed from the P-51 Mustang and had a crew of two.

The paint scheme on this aircraft is completely fictional, and I must give credit to the original creator for the original airframe, which I have modified to G-model standard.
AG1 switches on the landing lights.

it was also meant to be a long-range bomber escort to replace the 51's that had trouble keeping up with the bombers
