For this quadcopter, I based my designs off aimdriox's "XRay Tilt-rotor quad" kit. I was intrigued by the concept of having the rotors tilt rather than the entire quadcopter, and hence decided to build it in Simpleplanes.

I do realise that this could have a lot more potential, with further detailing of the computer parts, wires, etc. but I guess that I'm more focused towards simplicity and experimental designs.

Additionally, I have modifyed the tilt-rotors angle compared to that of the real one, as the quadcopter I've built is much more lighter without the extra computer parts that would otherwise weigh the quad down, so it doesn't seem as amazing as the real one.

CONTROLS:

  • Normal control

  • VTOL down for forward flight.
