Fictional fighter jet biplane for if they were adapted earlier on in WW2
The X-08 Hotseat was the first operational jet fighter, entering service with the USSR and USA in 1940. It was jointly developed by Soviet aircraft company Ilyushin and the American Boeing. Powered by a single P&W R-2030 jet engine it had a top speed twice the norm for a biplane at the time and greatly surpassed even the early monoplanes in climb rate. The X-08 saw wide service with both the Soviet Union on the Eastern front and United States in the Pacific theatre.
