GB-3 Plover Multirole Fighter

73.4k B1  7 months ago

Background

The GB-3 Plover, named after the bird, is a multirole fighter designed to intercept heavy bombers, fight other aircraft, and attack armored ground units. The four 50cal. machine guns on either wing do the job for planes, whilst the cannon is primarily used for tanks and other ground or sea units. The cannons can be used as anti-bomber weapons units effectively but are a little overkill if you were to ask me.

Instructions

AG7– Canopy open/close

Landing — approach runway 140-180 mph and let the aircraft gently set down with flaps fully set.once the main gear is down, let the speed decrease on its own, and once less than 100mph is reached, pitch up slightly and let the tail wheel land. Then you brake.

@MosquitowithaMachineGun i did that, thing is the fill ratios have to be precise enough for the gear to retract but also to fit with the rest.

@B1BLancer I get it, I'm just now using semi-custom wings.

Sorry I forgot the flaps are inverted so just a heads up, go into the left wing and invert the flap control surface for even flight.

@MosquitowithaMachineGun yea it’s annoying im new to the wing design. Look at how many parts alone and go into the Skelton view. It’s pretty complicated for me lmao

@DeeganishCountryBall @RepublicofNorthwrightIsles the GB-3, kinds looks like a diet Messerschmitt BF109 but it’s pretty good. Most of the time was spent making sure the landing gear and wing actually looked smooth and fit together. This is my first ever plane with this kind of landing gear.
