Project 590 (Tosa)

During the late '70s, the Karyan Union face a problem with its fighter inventories, while other countries had 4th generation fighters, the Karyan Union only made do with 3rd generation jets. Despite being effective, it was quickly being outclassed by newer and better opponents.

So in the year 1977, the Karyan Union started Project Tosa, high speed and capable of charging large amounts of payload, it was a good fighter for the time, but it had one massive problem, it was unable to turn fast enough to fight enemies 1v1 and would be quickly shot-down if it reacted too slow.

It's small wings, low maneuverability, and questionable carrying capacity was the biggest reason for the cancelation of the Tosa project, but after just a few months, it was reopened.

Project 590 mod.7 "Kaga"

The new requirements we're simple, high speed, lightweight, super maneuverability without thrust vectoring, and a carrier capability, the new designers, enlarged the wings, added a set of canards to improve maneuverability, as well as multiple hardpoints for a variety of ordinance. The Kaga was the ideal 4th generation fighter for its time, with a powerful rapid-firing autocannon, new missile systems, and the folding wing would allow it to serve the Karyan Union well.

It is equipped with a unique automatic afterburning engine. It needs to be at least
-500meters in altitude
-500kph fast
-throttle 99% or higher to activate
If these checks are not completed the afterburner would not activate. These systems were added for two reasons, the first reason is the fuel consumption, the afterburner uses a lot of fuel to travel at over Mach 2, and the second reason is so the flight decks of the carrier it's operating from, and the runways it will use will not damaged.

MRF 182A

The output of yeats of development and testing. The aircraft is equiped with the latest missiles of the Karyan Union. The fighter is the multirole Karyan fighter. With a pair of powerful engines, it could catch up to high speed and high altitude bombers, and its missiles could no doubt catch up.
The armament consists of four medium ranged AAMs and a pair long range AAMs, as well as four ASM. Not to forget the powerful radar located on the nose, and near the Rudder
