HISTORY

During the Late 1970s, the Empire of Gearhaven was building it's first naval armada, it has all the Hallmarks of a powerful navy; Battleships, aircraft carriers, Cruisers and destroyers, although they already had seaborne Aircraft in its carrier fleet, many top admirals demanded "it was not enough" and there is to be a newer and better aircraft built to suit the needs of a carrier fleet. The government assigned Company Secret Science™, a company well known for its innovative aerospace and scientific work, They were Tasked to build a better carrier compatible aircraft than the ones that gearhaven currently had, there was a slight catch however, the current Carriers facilitated by the military at the time had shorter runways, Less than The required takeoff distance for a proper jet fighter, yet the government persisted Secret Bunker™ should work on a way to combat the problem, and so they got work, after hundreds of designs, they ended up with the one we have today, a bulky Naval Fighter aircraft that had the revolutionary Feature to take off and land simultaneously, this technology was so revolutionary infact, that it was kept a tightly locked secret for over 30 years. Even now, the F-8B still retains it's air worthiness, and regarded as highly as it was back when it was built in the 80s.

ACTIVATIONS

AVG-1: Gyro and arm weapons
AVG-2 Jettison Pylons
AVG-3: parachute
AVG-4: activate Liftjets

CONTROLS

Step-1: Activate gyro (AVG-1)
Step-2: Raise throttle to 20%
Step-3: activate Liftjets (AVG-4)
Step-4: Ascend to 500 feet and retract landing gear
Step-5: Gradually Turn the VTOL inlet in a counter clockwise motion until straight (be sure to straighten the plane out by maneuvering the nose down)
