Development: The predecessor of this aircraft was the A-14 otherwise known as the "Shark", and was useful for a good portion of the war until the enemies had stated to develop new technologies and developed new planes, tanks, infantry weapons, and other land and sea based vehicles. The plane still had some use, but it was time for a few upgrades, as it wasn't as effective anymore. Iosia started experimenting with it until they had gotten what is now the A-16. The A-16 is a slightly modified version of the A-14, but it still had major improvements. The wings are more flat and level compared to the predecessor, making it capable of carrying two 250lb bombs on each wing and one 500lb bomb in the middle. It also has a few more guns than the other plane did, and they are placed in the nose cone of the plane instead of the wings, although not much has changed, the plane was still more capable and advanced than most, also being more accurate as the guns in the nose often downed planes and tanks easily.

History: After the introduction of the A-16, many of the enemy fighters became nothing more than a nuisance. The plane was also able to fire its 40mm cannon faster and the same went for most of the guns. They had an increased fire rate at the cost of a bit of damage and accuracy, along with the amount of time you could hold the trigger down. Many of them would act as bomber escorts for a while before being forced to turn back due to fuel capacity still not being very high. This was also the same thing that the Iosian military had kept in mind while designing their newest fighter/interceptor/bomber escort.
