43.9k PlanesOfOldFun fact from the Haynes mk 4 tank book "how to start the tank" 1the leading driver holds on the switch behind him 2by his knee ther were two levers the advance and retard lever he then primed the magneto next to those levers 3 the main driver now bright the advance and retard lever to THATS RIGHT FULL RETARD! He then opened the throttle and engaged the starting handle drive with his other hand 4 the crew cranked the starting lever and the engine bust Into life!10.0 years ago
