The MD-26 does not exist in reality. When I started making this aircraft in 2023, my original intention was to create a next-generation Chinese fighter jet based on my imagination. However, the test flight of China's sixth-generation fighter jet at the end of 2024 forced me to rename this aircraft. The MD-26 is equipped with two scramjets, and its air intakes are designed with a closable structure that remains closed at low speeds and are located on the underside of the fuselage. Additionally, it has two flat continuous detonation ramjet engines. At the front, it features a variable DSI that expands the air intake at low speeds and reduces it at high speeds (I made this feature very obvious in the game). The vertical stabilizer is adjustable, opening at a 60-degree angle with the horizontal wing at low speeds and retracting at high speeds. By the way, this aircraft is VTOL-capable. Now, let me explain how to operate it:
* Activate1: Engage afterburner
* Activate2: Unlock weapons
* Activate3: Deploy landing hook
* Activate4: Open stabilizer 1 (suitable for landing)
* Activate5: Switch to VTOL mode and open stabilizer 2
* Activate6: Open the refueling port on the back of the fuselage
* Activate7: Open stabilizer 3 (suitable for cruising)
* Activate8: Disable the automatic deployment of landing gear at low speeds
Notes:
- This aircraft has three sets of stabilizer units. Using them appropriately will enable you to control this powerful aircraft more precisely and efficiently.
- VTOL operation:
Ground takeoff: First, activate Activate5, then push the VTOL lever upwards.
Aerial landing: First, activate Activate5, then use the Brake to decelerate (after activating Activate5, reverse thrust will be stronger than usual), then push the VTOL lever upwards.
- The landing gear of this aircraft is automated and will retract automatically when the speed reaches or exceeds 500 km/h.
- I do not recommend engaging in combat without activating Activate1, as the aircraft's maneuverability is poor and it is too slow in this state.
