Airbus A330 is a wide-body aircraft developed and produced by Airbus. Airbus began developing larger derivatives of the A300 in the mid-1970s, including the A330 twin-engine aircraft and the A340 four-engine aircraft. Both models and the first orders were launched in June 1987. The first aircraft, the A330-300, first flew in November 1992 and entered service with the Air Inter in January 1994. The shorter A330-200 was launched in 1998, was first shipped by Air Canada 3000 and not the AF447
